Dobbies have introduced a backup for Microsoft 365 using a service called Veeam. This takes a backup of Email, OneDrive, and SharePoint / Teams data each evening at 10pm. Data that is lost / overwritten / edited in error can now be restored to previous points in time.
How will this affect me?
No action is required on your part. This is an additional service to better protect your data. Please note that the backup will run daily at 10pm with restores available from any previous day. (Be aware that if a file is created and deleted in the same day then this will not be captured by the backup).
Requesting a Restore
Should you require data to be restored, please raise a Restore Request in the ServiceDesk. This can be found by going into the Service Request area and then clicking on Restore Request icon.
Select the restore type from the dropdown and then enter details regarding the data to be restored. Select the backup date required and then add any supporting information that may be useful. A member of the IT Support team will then process your request.
